outlook crashes when opening html emails

I deleted the 26 MB email (the bulk of which comprised the body of the message, in plain text). Larger mail-bomb? Or, what chance do we stand of opening large emails from clients, or those received from automated processes on our clients servers? (Yes, we know that we can use FTP etc. Surely Outlook could be made a bit more resilient to mail-bombs (i.e., large emails sent maliciously)? If it can't even handle my 26MB test message, then what chance do we stand of not wasting 10-20 minutes messing about every time some clown sends us a The only way to unfreeze it was to kill Outlook, log in to my webmail, delete the offending emails and re-open Outlook (no problems this time). After it appeared to freeze, shutting it down just led to the standard 'Outlook is not responding' message.
